Speed Training, Movement Skills and Resistance Training.

A great morning in the Faithful Fields with all our young players practicing speed mechanics, movement skills and resistance training. Change takes time, but the lads are working very hard and are learning and getting better every session. We experimented with some small hurdles (or wickets) to facilitate learning of proper sprint mechanics this morning to good effect, it’s such a bonus to have a turfed area to work on movement skills. You really don’t want to build strength or fitness on dysfunction (bad habits), so we always aim to include movement skills training in all our warm ups and gym sessions. Who doesn’t want athletes who can move a bit better?
