GAA Club Testing Packages – Tailored for Your Team's Needs

If your GAA club is looking to assess player performance, I offer two testing packages to suit your needs:

    • Testing Only – A straightforward assessment of your team’s current fitness levels.

    • Testing + Training Programme – In addition to testing, this package includes a customised training programme based on the results.

Cost for Team Testing:

    • €350 for team testing (including comprehensive reports on individual players' performance).This price covers travel within a 1-hour drive from the greater Dublin area.

    • €450 for team testing and bespoke training plan provided (please allow one week post testing to provide this).

A Few Tips for Successful Team Testing:

    • Use Your Own Setup/Gym – There's no need for fancy facilities; you can conduct the tests in your own environment.

    • Complete It in One Day – Plan the testing in one session, with breaks in between. We recommend providing some snacks and coffee during the midway break to keep energy levels up.

    • Schedule It and Stick to It – Set a date, get it in the diary, and follow through. Consistency is key to tracking progress.

Recommended Testing Flow (for 25-30 players):

Dynamic Warm-up:
A solid warm-up ensures all players are ready and reduces the risk of injury.

Speed & Agility:

    • 20m Speed Gate Test – This measures acceleration and provides insight into your players' speed abilities. Players get 3 maximum attempts, with breaks in between. Ideally, this test should be conducted on an astro turf pitch.

Strength Testing:

    • 1-Rep Max Bench Press – Tests upper body strength. The bar must touch the chest for proper form.

    • 3-Rep Max Back Squat – Measures lower body strength and overall power.

    • Chin-ups (Max Reps) – Tests upper body strength. Perform as many reps as possible from a hanging position.

Power Testing:

    • Jump Mat – Measures power with the NCMJ (No Counter Movement Jump) and CMJ (Counter Movement Jump) tests, providing a clear picture of explosive leg power.

Cardiovascular Fitness:

    • 1km Time Trial – This is a simple, repeatable test that’s easy to re-run as needed. It gives a clear indication of cardiovascular fitness, and you can easily track progress over time.
